Nigerian Gospel Singer and Songwriter MG Godwin Biography:
I am Godwin Gube Musa from Nasarawa State, Lafia LGA, born on 16th November 1996 at Police Barracks Yalwa in Bauchi State. A Christian by religion and a Koro (Migili) by tribe from Nasarawa state.
I was born and brought up from the family of Rt DSP Musa Awotu of Ashige, but resided at Ashigogo Assakio, started my Primary School at RCM Pilot Science School Ashigogo Assakio ,Lafia Nasarawa state from 2002 -2008 and proceeded to Evangelical Reformed Church of Christ ERCC Secondary School Assakio where I did my JSS 1 to JSS 3 later left to attend my SSS1 to SSS3 at Holy Trinity College Assakio, Finally i sat for my WAEC and NECO at Government Secondary School Atabula,Obi LGA of Nasarawa State where I obtained my SSCE certificate in the year 2014,
Meanwhile after my Secondary School, I went ahead to learn some skills such as fashion designer, photography work and others.
I MG Godwin; I'm a dedicated member of the Roman Catholic Church and had been a member of many societies in the Church including block Rosary Crusade, Altar Servers, Block Rosary brigade of guard,
Divine mercy and others.
Though my ambition was to become a Catholic Church Priest and as well applied for a diocesan priest at the Lafia diocese but was not admitted because I was not having credit in English language, After which I decided to join the Military and I was enlisted into Nigerian army on tenth(10) of June 2017 as a member of 76 regular intake, Meanwhile am a lover of music ,a song "writer" and "Singer" which I started since when I was fourteen (14) years old after receiving inspiration to spread the gospel of God through songs (music), I really appreciate God for his grace upon my life which finally come to reality in the year 2019, when I recorded my first Audio Album tittle ''NEARER TO ALTAR NEARER TO GOD" A side that for the quest for more knowledge, I went ahead to further my Education by studying B.Sc. Criminology and Security Studies at the National Open University of Nigeria.
Finally I really appreciate the Almighty God for gift of life, for his care, protection and talent to preach his Gospel all over the world through Gospel Songs despite the challenges involved. Am grateful am fulfilling my mission to praise and worship the name of the living God, NKOSI
